Accommodation

Cae Melyn is fully centrally heated providing ten bedrooms (three of which have ensuite facilities), three bathrooms, modern fitted kitchen, two spacious lounge / dining rooms and a residents’ activity room.

Alarm Bells

These are provided in all residents’ rooms, toilets and bathrooms so that staff can be quickly summoned in an emergency.

Fire Precautions

Fire precautions throughout the home have been closely examined and approved by the local Fire Brigade as a prerequisite to our registration with the Care Standards Inspectorate for placecountry-regionWales. Staff are trained in fire drill and all equipment is tested regularly.

Furniture

All rooms – are let fully furnished. Should residents wish to bring their own furniture they may do so.

Garden

Residents treat the garden as their own, and anyone with a horticultural interest is more than welcome to pursue their hobby. Our residents assist us and our gardener to keep the garden looking presentable.

Games

If you want to participate in the various games or activities (fun bingo, keep fit, cards, craft sessions, jig-saws, scrabble etc) the staff will let you know when and where they will take place. Some of our residents prefer to arrange their own games sessions between themselves and staff. A games table for pool, snooker, shuffle board and table football is always available for use in one of the lounges.

Television and Radio

Most of our residents have their own television or CD/radio sets. There is a colour television, radio and cassette player for general use in the residents’ dining room and a colour TV in the lounge.
